Take it Oomi
A group of Finnish energy companies realised that, in a changing market, the energy sector needed a broader perspective and the courage to do things differently. That’s how Oomi was born in 2020.
First and foremost, we needed to find out what sort of energy services company Finnish electricity customers actually want – and need. It took a lot of time and effort. We asked questions and listened carefully.
It didn’t take long to realise that, when it comes to energy, simplicity is the way to go.
Signing up for electricity contracts and related services, as well as dealing with all related matters, should be easy, quick and seamless.
We also had to come up with a name that would stand out from other companies in the field and stick in people’s minds.
And that’s how we got started.
Over the past six years, we’ve already been through a lot together. Unfortunately, there have also been setbacks, such as the energy crisis. We have developed new products and services, attracted new customers and done things our own way.
Growth has been rapid: today, Oomi already has over  800,000 consumer and business customers throughout all of Finland.
In all of this, we’ve taken great pleasure in the fact that, although Oomi is a young and enthusiastic company, we are backed by the experience of our parent companies: a combined total of over a thousand years of Finnish energy expertise.
And this is only the beginning. Oomi is steaming ahead towards the coming years and new adventures at full tilt.
Who knows, we might even end up abroad.
The most important thing, however, is that we are here for our customers. We’ll only succeed if we manage to make your lives just a little bit easier.
