Oomi Active is a good fit for companies that want to take advantage of affordable hourly electricity rates and purchase electricity at the current market price.
Oomi Active is a continuous or a fixed-term electricity contract that is tied to the market price (fixed-term contract available only for companies with a yearly consumption under 100 000 kWh). It is a good fit for companies that wish to move their electricity consumption to more affordable quarter hours. The quarter-hourly prices for the next day are announced in the Nordic power exchange, Nord Pool, the previous day.
The Oomi Active electricity contract has a changing energy price that is based on the quarter-hourly price, i.e. spot price, of electricity for the Finnish price area as published by Nord Pool. The price of spot electricity, which is based on the spot price, varies according to the supply and demand, which is why the price of electricity is always up to date. The vendor’s margin of 0.49 c/kWh (VAT 0%) is added to the spot price.
Oomi Active guarantees the most current price and the opportunity to take advantage of the most affordable hours of the day.
You can also purchase the electricity for your company from renewable energy sources or select a price cap for your Oomi Active contract to protect yourself from spikes in the spot price.
The price of exchange electricity will be determined by 15-minute periods from 1 October 2025. Whether your consumption is measured by the hour or by 15-minute periods, the 15-minute exchange electricity contract is right for you.
