Oomi Terms of supplementary services, consumers

The terms will come into effect on 10 April 2024, for Switch Guarantee, on 15 February 2023. 

Terms applicable to all supplementary services 

Applicable terms and changes. Oomi Oy has the right to decide which additional services are available for sale at any given time. Additional services are governed by these special terms. Oomi reserves the right to change these terms by sending a notice of the change to the customer one month (1 month) before the change comes into effect. 

Requirements. Oomi’s additional services, which are subject to a separate fee, can be selected for locations that have an annual electricity consumption of no more than 40,000 kWh. They are invoiced on the electricity invoice for the electricity sales contract. Depending on the electricity sales contract, you can choose one or more additional services for the contract. Additional services are confirmed to the customer in connection with the electricity sales contract or with a separate contract confirmation. Additional services are specific to the location of use. The location of use refers to the apartment or property where Oomi supplies the customer with electricity. 

Right of cancellation. The customer has the right to cancel the subscription to additional services within 14 days of the moment of subscription. The customer must notify Oomi’s customer service about the cancellation. If the customer uses their 14-day cancellation right related to their electricity sales contract, the additional services selected for this contract are automatically cancelled at the same time.  

Price and changes. The price of additional services is as listed on the price list valid at the time. New orders for additional services are subject to the terms of the additional services in force at the time of the order. Oomi has the right to change the special terms of additional services valid until further notice, as well as the prices of additional services by notifying the customers of the changes no later than one (1) month before the change comes into effect.  

Termination. The additional services offered by Oomi are valid in accordance with the terms of the additional services, either as valid until further notice or a fixed term. The additional services valid until further notice can be freely terminated by the parties and the service’s term of notice is 14 days for the customer and one (1) month for the vendor. The fixed term additional service contract is valid for the agreed period.

Oomi Renewable 

Oomi Renewable is a paid additional service that can be selected for any electricity sales contract when the annual electricity consumption of the location of use does not exceed 40,000 kWh. If the actual annual consumption exceeds the maximum limit, Oomi can cease offering the additional service to the customer immediately. 
 
The electricity supply of a contract supplemented with Oomi Renewable is based on 100% renewable energy sources consisting of a combination of biofuel, hydro, wind and solar power. The origin of the electricity is verified in accordance with the European Guarantee of Origin system. 

The Oomi Renewable fee is charged as cents per kWh, and the monthly charge varies depending on the electricity consumption of the location. The cost of Oomi Renewable consists of the electricity consumption of the place of use (kWh) and of Oomi Renewable's kilowatt-hour-based price (c/kWh), so that the electricity consumption is multiplied by the kilowatt-based price. The price of Oomi Renewable (c/kWh) will be the same as indicated at the time of making the contract and verified on the contract confirmation.  

Oomi Renewable on is an additional service specific to the location of use and valid until further notice. Oomi Renewable will enter into force as agreed in the additional service contract, but at the earliest, when the electricity sales contract of the place of use enters into force. Oomi Renewable ends if the customer's electricity sales contract is terminated at the place of use due to a move or a change of electricity supplier, or the customer himself terminates Oomi Renewable. When the electricity sales contract for the place of use changes to some other Oomi’s electricity contract product or the customer renews their contract for an equivalent product, Oomi Renewable will continue to be valid until further notice, unless it is terminated separately  
 

Oomi Offset 

Oomi Offset is an additional service that allows customers to offset their carbon emissions from everyday consumption. With the Oomi Offset additional service, Oomi purchases the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) chosen by the customer. 

Oomi Offset is an additional service with a monthly fee, valid until further notice, which can be added to any consumer customer’s electricity sales contract.  

The price of the Oomi Offset service is determined by the tier (kgCO2e/year) chosen by the customer in accordance with the valid price list. The monthly price paid by the customer includes Oomi’s delivery fee and VAT. Oomi Offset is available in three tiers with 1,200, 2,400 or 5,300 kgCO2e over a period of 12 months as follows: 

Oomi Offset Hiilipörssi 1,200 kgCO2e 

Oomi Offset Hiilipörssi 2,400 kgCO2e 

Oomi Offset Hiilipörssi 5,300 kgCO2e 

Oomi Offset is an additional service specific to the location of use and valid until further notice. Oomi Offset will enter into force as agreed in the additional service contract, but at the earliest, when the electricity sales contract of the place of use enters into force. Oomi Offset ends if the customer's electricity sales contract is terminated at the place of use due to a move or a change of electricity supplier, or the customer himself terminates Oomi Offset. When the electricity sales contract for the place of use changes to some other Oomi’s electricity contract product or the customer renews their contract for an equivalent product, Oomi Offset will continue to be valid until further notice, unless it is terminated separately.  

The offsetting service is provided by Hiilipörssi Oy (business ID 3161923-6). Oomi reports the customer’s chosen amount of carbon dioxide emissions and forwards the corresponding offset payment to Hiilipörssi, in exchange for which Hiilipörssi cancels the corresponding number of carbon credits from its register. 

Oomi Carbon Neutral 

Oomi Carbon Neutral is an additional service subject to a monthly fee and specific to the location of use. It can be selected for any electricity sales contract when the annual electricity consumption of the location of use does not exceed 40,000 kWh. If the actual annual consumption exceeds the maximum limit, Oomi can cease offering the additional service to the customer immediately. 

The production method of the electricity of an electricity contract supplemented by Oomi Carbon Neutral is primarily European nuclear power, but Oomi also has the right, if necessary, to verify the production method with Guarantees of Origin of electricity based on renewable energy sources. The origin of Oomi Carbon Neutral is verified with the Guarantees of Origin of electricity in accordance with the guarantee of origin system. 

Oomi Carbon Neutral on is an additional service specific to the location of use and valid until further notice. Oomi Carbon Neutral will enter into force as agreed in the additional service contract, but at the earliest, when the electricity sales contract of the place of use enters into force.  Oomi Carbon Neutral ends if the customer's electricity sales contract is terminated at the place of use due to a move or a change of electricity supplier, or the customer himself terminates Oomi Carbon Neutral. When the electricity sales contract for the place of use changes to some other Oomi’s electricity contract product or the customer renews their contract for an equivalent product, Oomi Carbon Neutral will continue to be valid until further notice, unless it is terminated separately.  

 
The fixed term additional services: 
 
Switch Guarantee 

The Switch Guarantee service is subject to a fee. The service can be selected for fixed-term electricity sales contracts of Oomi Oy when the annual electricity consumption of the location of use does not exceed 40,000 kWh. If the customer’s actual annual consumption exceeds the maximum limit, Oomi Oy may cancel the service. 

The Switch Guarantee fee is charged as cents per kWh, and the monthly charge varies depending on the electricity consumption of the location. The cost of the Switch Guarantee service consists of consumption at the location (kWh) multiplied by the c/kWh price of the Switch Guarantee. The c/kWh price of the service will be the same as indicated at the time of making the contract and verified on the contract confirmation until the end of the term of the contract. 

Switch Guarantee comes into effect on the same day as the electricity sales contract, and it is specific to the contract and location of use. Switch Guarantee cannot the applied to electricity sales contracts retroactively. The Switch Guarantee service will remain valid until the end of the contract period of the customer’s fixed-term electricity sales contract.  

The customer has the right to cancel the Switch Guarantee service within 14 days of the moment of subscription. The customer must notify Oomi Oy’s customer service about the cancellation.  

With the Switch Guarantee, the customer has the opportunity to switch to another fixed-term Oomi Oy electricity sales contract during the contract period, when the contract has been valid for at least one (1) year.  
 
The right to change contracts may be exercised by contacting Oomi Oy’s customer service. The right to change may be used once during the contract period and after one year (12 months) have elapsed from the previous change, at the earliest. If the right to change is used and the Switch Guarantee service is not selected for the next contract, the remaining Switch Guarantee fees will be invoiced on the following invoice as follows: (estimated projected annual consumption/12) x (remaining months on the original contact) x (Switch Guarantee c/kWh price).The price and terms of the Switch Guarantee service added to a new contract are determined at the time of the contract. 

The contract period of the Switch Guarantee service ends when the customer moves away from the location of use and when the electricity sales contract signed for the location in question ends.
