Product-specific conditions for consumers, Oomi Active Quarter-hour
The terms shall be in effect as of 1 October 2025.
These product-specific terms are part of the customer's contract with Oomi Oy (hereinafter “Oomi”).
Oomi Active Quarter-hour
The continuous Oomi Active Quarter-hour contract has a changing energy price that is based on the quarter-hourly price of electricity for the Finnish price area as published by the Nordic electricity exchange (Nord Pool AS). A quarter-hour is a period of fifteen (15) minutes. The quarter-hourly cost of electricity is the consumption for that fifteen-minute (15 min) period multiplied by the electricity price for the corresponding fifteen-minute (15 min) period. If the meter at the metering point does not yet support quarter-hourly metering, instead measuring electricity consumption on an hourly basis, the hourly consumption is divided equally into four (4) fifteen-minute (15 min) periods. The average electricity price shown on the invoice is the cost of the individual quarter-hours of the month added together and divided by the amount of energy consumed during the month. The quarter-hourly energy prices are not broken down on the electricity invoice. The customer will have access to Oomi's electronic service, where the customer can check the accuracy of the invoice prices.
In addition to the quarter-hourly spot price, the invoicing includes the vendor’s margin (c/kWh) and basic fee (€/month) as well as value-added tax. The vendor’s margin and basic fee are as declared during the signing of the contract and as confirmed. The customer will be notified of any changes to the margin and basic fee no later than one (1) month before the change comes into effect.
Quarter-hourly prices based on the quarter-hourly price of electricity for the Finnish price area as published by Nord Pool AS are an essential part of the nature of an exchange electricity contract. One of the characteristics of exchange electricity is that the price of electricity can vary significantly between daily metering periods, depending on supply and demand. The quarter-hourly changes in the energy price under the Oomi Active Quarter-hour contract do not constitute changes to the price or contractual conditions of which the customer should be informed in advance (Terms of electricity sales SME 2024, section 8.2).
