Oomi Flex – who is it for?

By timing electricity use to take place during the cheaper days and quarter-hours, 97 % of our Flex customers* are able to achieve prices lower than with Oomi Fixed. Oomi Flex is the choice for you if you want to make use of spot electricity but do not want a contract based solely on spot electricity pricing.

The price of a fixed-term Oomi Flex electricity contract consists of three parts:

  • monthly basic fee (€/month)
  • fixed price of electricity (c/kWh)
  • consumption impact (c/kWh).

The basic fee and fixed price of electricity do not change during the contract period. The consumption impact (c/kWh) varies monthly based on how you time your consumption, and is thus not fixed. The consumption impact tends to be between -3.9 and +1.6 c/kWh* approximately and you can influence this by timing your electricity consumption.

How does the consumption impact work?

With an Oomi Flex contract, you can influence the price of your electricity by timing your electricity consumption.

The consumption impact can increase or lower the price of your electricity on a monthly basis, depending on when you use electricity. Our OmaOomi-app helps with monitoring the prices and timing your consumption 24/7!

You can reduce your monthly costs compared to what you would pay on a fully fixed-price contract by timing your consumption to take place during the cheapest days and quarter-hours. If you use electricity primarily during the more expensive days and moments, the price may be higher than the estimated average of the Oomi Flex consumption impact, and your total electricity bill may be higher than it would be with a fixed-price electricity contract.
