Six-month continuous contract
Everyday Energy, Climate Energy, Garbage Energy, Budget Energy and Business Energy to be discontinued on 30 June 2023
As previously announced last autumn, the six-month continuous product will be removed from our contract selection on 30 June 2023. We will terminate your six-month continuous contract (Everyday Energy, Climate Energy, Garbage Energy, Budget Energy) service by this letter on 30 June 2023. The termination is based on section Contract period and pricing of the Vantaa Energy Terms of Contract.
The discontinuation of the six-month continuous product was decided in autumn 2022 due to substantial changes in the electricity market. The market situation has significantly hampered the procurement of electricity, and the product cannot be procured under agreed product terms.
There is no need to worry about this development, as we offer Oomi Continuous for replacement product.
Your contract will be continued automatically as an Oomi Continuous contract from 1 July 2023 onwards
The provision of electricity will not stop after 30 June 2023. Your six-month continuous contract will continue automatically as a continuous Oomi Continuous contract.
Your prices will remain unchanged after the transition to a new contract. We will inform you of any possible price changes at least one (1) month before the change comes into effect. The Oomi Continuous contract can be terminated with a notice period of two (2) weeks.
In June, we will send you a confirmation of your Oomi Continuous contract, containing the contract details as well as the terms and conditions. The contract terms are available at oomi.fi/terms.

The prices of electricity contract decreased on 1 April 2023
The market price of electricity fell at the beginning of the year, and this will allow us to lower the prices of our electricity contracts from 1 April 2023 onwards. The prices of six-month continuous contract (Everyday Energy, Climate Energy, Garbage Energy, Budget Energy, Business Energy) will fall by an average of 19% compared to the start of the year.
In early 2023, the market price of electricity fell due to mild weather, reduced electricity consumption and a good generation situation in the electricity market. This allows us to reduce the prices of our six-month continuous contracts, as conditions in the electricity market have changed substantially and Oomi’s electricity procurement costs have fallen.
Oomi will lower the price of electricity from 1 April 2023 onwards as described below. The changes to the contract terms and price are based on sections 8.3 and 8.6 of the Terms of Electricity Sales (SME 2014) applicable to the contract.
The change requires no action on your part. The price changes will enter into effect automatically and your contract will continue normally as a contract valid until further notice until 30 June 2023.

Although the VAT on electricity will revert back to 24% at the beginning of May, we will keep the price of electricity the same as from 1 April 2023 onwards and will not pass on the increase in VAT to our energy prices. In practice, this means that we will reduce the energy price exclusive of VAT by an average of 11% on 1 May 2023.
The VAT on electricity will be temporarily decreased to 10% between 1 December 2022 and 30 April 2023. The VAT will revert back to the original 24% on 1 May 2023. The change will be automatically included in the tariffs.

Why is my Oomi Nonstop contract being terminated?
We are terminating your Oomi Nonstop contract because the electricity market has significantly changed, which has significantly hampered the procurement of electricity, making it impossible to procure the product in accordance with the contract terms.
Why are my additional services being terminated (if applicable)?
We are terminating the Oomi Renewable additional service and the Solar and Wind Energy products because they are services linked to an electricity contract, which, according to the contract terms, are terminated upon the termination of the electricity contract.
Why are Oomi Nonstop contracts being replaced specifically by Oomi Continuous contracts?
Upon the termination of your Oomi Nonstop contract, your contract will be continued automatically as an Oomi Continuous contract. An Oomi Continuous contract is valid until further notice, just like an Oomi Nonstop contract. The price of an Oomi Continuous contract will remain stable, and we will inform you of any price adjustments at least one month before the change comes into effect.
How is the price of an Oomi Continuous contract determined?
The price of Oomi Continuous follows market prices over a slightly longer term. The price of will remain stable, and we will inform you of any price adjustments at least one month before the change comes into effect.
Will my prices change as of 1 July?
Your prices will not change compared to your current Oomi Nonstop contract if you continue with an Oomi Continuous contract. We will inform you of any price adjustments at least one month before the change comes into effect.
If I do not want an Oomi Continuous contract, what can I do?

Will you change your prices if the market price changes?
The prices of Oomi Continuous follow market prices both up and down. We monitor prices constantly and, in accordance with the terms of the contract, we will notify you of any price changes at least one (1) month before the change comes into force.
